Lady Marvila
Marvila da Ponta da Pinta (Lady), our cherished family member, has completed her United Kennel Club Championship and all necessary health tests. We are now searching for a similarly tested male Estrela to breed her, aiming to bring the finest qualities of the breed to North America
Tesla
In 2013, finding an Estrela Mountain Dog breeder in the United States was challenging. My wife and I went through the necessary steps to get a puppy, whom we named Tesla. He was a loving and wonderful addition to our family. Tragically, in less than seven months, we lost him suddenly to a genetic heart abnormality that had gone unnoticed. I miss Tesla dearly.
Stromboli DaPonta daPinta
Still in love with the breed, I searched for a breeder committed to thorough testing to prevent the heartache caused by Tesla’s death. Manuela Paraíso of Ponta Da Pinta Estrelas had done extensive work on dilated cardiomyopathy and tested her dogs rigorously. From one of her Portuguese litters came my next Estrela, Stromboli. Stromboli was a joyful and healthy dog who brought immense happiness to my family. After he passed, I was determined to contribute to the healthy breeding stock in North America with strict testing standards.
